In its annual ceremony, the BET Awards honor the most prominent figures in the fields of: music, cinema, and sports, and are organized annually by “Black Entertainment Television,” an American television network concerned with entertainment. It held its annual ceremony at the “Peacock Theater” in Los Angeles, and was presented by the comedian Drusky.

Nominations for the awards submitted for the year 2026 witnessed extensive competition in the fields of: music, cinema, and sports, with the participation of prominent names, including: Jill Scott, Cardi B, Kehlani, T.I., A$AP Rocky, Bruno Mars, Bryson Tiller, Chris Brown, Metro Boomin, SZA, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and YK Ness.

The concert included a number of live music performances, including: Cardi B, Duce, Queen Latifah, Common, Don Toliver, French Montana, Max B, Jill Scott, Kehlani, Rick Ross, TIM, T.I., The War and Treatment, and KWN, in addition to the return of MC Lyte to perform the concert.

The annual BET Awards ceremony witnessed the presence of dozens of stars who competed in this year’s most prominent awards, led by Cardi B, who topped the list with six total nominations, followed by prominent names such as Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist with five nominations each, in addition to a group of the most prominent music and acting stars during the past year.

The concert also witnessed the participation of a group of artists who performed live on stage, and the list included: Cardi B, Common, Deutsche, Don Toliver, French Montana, Kehlani, Queen Latifah, Rick Ross, TIM, T.I., The War and Treat, Ray, Ari Lennox, Alexia J, Baby Kim, BJ the Chicago Kid, Durand Bernard, Erica Campbell, George Clinton, and Lee. Andrea Johnson, Nas, Rhapsody, Kenny Echo, and other artists performed diversely, reflecting the musical diversity that characterizes the award.

After a strong competition between the most prominent candidates, the results of the BET Awards 2026 resulted in a number of prominent names winning in various categories, and the full list of winners was as follows:

Best Actor: Michael B. Jordan.

– Best Actress: Teyana Taylor.

Best R&B/Pop Artist: Leon Thomas.

– Best R&B/Pop Female Artist: Kehlani.

-Best Hip-Hop Artist: Kendrick Lamar.

-Best Hip-Hop Artist: Cardi B.

– Album of the Year: “Let God Sort Em Out” (Clips).

– Video of the Year: “Folded” by Kehlani.

– “BET Her” Award: “Girl, Get Up” song by Duce and “SZA”.

– Best singing group: “Clips.”

– Best Artistic Collaboration: “Chains & Whips” (Clips) and Kendrick Lamar.
