Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid honors 35 winners of the Mohammed bin Ham Specialized Volunteer Award

Al Ain, 1st July / WAM / Yesterday evening, the Salem Bin Ham Cultural Center celebrated the winners of the second session of the Mohammed Bin Ham Specialized Volunteer Award for the year 2026, under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Wajib Volunteer Society.

The honoring was also attended by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Muslim bin Ham Al Ameri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Salem Bin Ham Cultural Center and Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees, along with an elite group of officials, community figures, and pioneers of volunteer work.

The ceremony witnessed the honoring of 35 winners from individuals, institutions, government and private entities, who were chosen from among 112 entries and nominations, after a careful evaluation process conducted by the judging committee according to scientific and professional standards, in appreciation of their qualitative contributions to community service and consolidating the culture of specialized volunteering.

Sheikh Tahnoun bin Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Nahyan received the Legal Personality Award on behalf of Sheikha Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, in recognition of her pioneering contributions in supporting humanitarian and community initiatives and promoting volunteer work.

In his speech, Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan stressed that the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” has established a global model in establishing a culture of giving and humanitarian work, pointing out that initiatives that celebrate volunteers and those with societal impact represent an investment in people, and contribute to enhancing social responsibility and consolidating the values ​​of giving and giving.

He added that the Mohammed bin Ham Specialized Volunteer Award has become an important national platform for honoring inspiring models and motivating institutions and individuals to employ their expertise to serve society.

For his part, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Salem Bin Ham Cultural Center confirmed that the award continues to achieve its goals in spreading the culture of specialized volunteering, noting that the turnout witnessed in the second session reflects growing awareness of the importance of employing scientific and professional expertise in serving society.

He added that the number of entries to 112 entries and nominations and the selection of 35 winners represents an indication of the expansion of the circle of quality initiatives in the country, and confirms that volunteer work has become an essential partner in the process of sustainable development.

The ceremony included the showing of an introductory film that reviewed the award’s mission, objectives and categories, in addition to honoring the members of the jury and participants, in appreciation of their role in the success of the second session, before the ceremony concluded by taking souvenir photos with the winners and honorees.
