Salah participates in training… and the “Pharaohs” travel to Dallas before the match against Australia

The Egyptian national football team continued its intensive preparations to face Australia, scheduled for next Friday evening, in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, after training at Gonzaga University Stadium in the American city of Spokane, before heading to Dallas, which will host the upcoming confrontation.

The official account of the Egyptian Football Association stated on the “X” platform that the team performed its training today in the city of Spokane, as part of the technical program developed by the technical staff led by Hossam Hassan, in preparation for the expected confrontation against the Australian team.

The director of the Egyptian national team, Ibrahim Hassan, explained that the training session was held at exactly eleven o’clock in the morning Spokane time (ten o’clock in the evening UAE time), noting that the national team’s delegation will leave at exactly four in the morning Thursday, Spokane time, on a private plane provided by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), heading to the city of Dallas, Texas, which is hosting the match.

He added that the trip takes about three and a half hours, and that the team’s delegation arrives in Dallas at 9:30 a.m. local time, where the Pharaohs will conduct their last training before the match.

The training session witnessed Hamdi Fathi’s full participation in group training, while Mohamed Salah participated in part of the training, in a positive step before the match, while the duo, Mohamed Abdel Moneim and Ahmed Fattouh, continued implementing their treatment program under the supervision of the medical staff.

Hani Abu Raida, President of the Egyptian Football Association and supervisor of the national team, and Khaled Al-Dirandali, Vice President of the Federation and head of the national team’s delegation at the World Cup, also attended the training, along with members of the Board of Directors, to support the players before the upcoming confrontation.

The Egyptian national team had reached the round of 32 for the first time in its history, after occupying second place in Group Seven with five points, equal to the leading Belgium national team, which took the lead on goal difference, so that the Pharaohs set a date with the Australian national team in a confrontation in which they seek to continue their historic journey in the 2026 World Cup.
