The Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police reviews the readiness of the Special Patrols Directorate

ABU DHABI, 3rd July, 2017 (WAM) – His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaytoun Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, during his visit to the Special Patrols Directorate, was briefed on the level of readiness of field units and operational capabilities that contribute to enhancing security and safety, within the framework of enhancing field readiness and upgrading the security work system.

His Excellency was also briefed on the tasks and competencies of the Special Patrols Directorate, including special patrols, the Knights Department, and the Environmental Police, and their role in supporting the security system, and enhancing the speed of response to reports and field missions efficiently and professionally.

His Excellency listened to a briefing on work mechanisms, modern equipment, and training and rehabilitation programs that contribute to raising the efficiency of the Directorate’s members and enhancing their readiness, in addition to the efforts of the Environmental Police in protecting the environment and preserving natural resources.

His Excellency stressed the importance of investing in developing national competencies and enhancing field readiness, in a way that supports the police work system, raises performance efficiency, and enhances the proactive security system to maintain community security, safety, and quality of life.

The visit was attended by Major General Mohammed Suhail Al Rashidi, Director of the Criminal Security Sector, Brigadier Khalid Abdullah Al Khouri, Director of the Decision Making and Institutional Development Sector, Brigadier Dr. Hamoud Saeed Al Afari, Deputy Director of the Criminal Security Sector for Administrative Affairs, and Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Khalifa Al Hameli, Director of the Special Patrols Directorate.
