The President of the State awards the Ambassador of the Republic of Malta with the Order of Independence, First Class
Abu Dhabi, 3 July / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, awarded Her Excellency Maria Camilleri Calia, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the UAE, the Order of Independence, First Class, on the occasion of the end of her term as her country’s ambassador to the UAE, in appreciation of the efforts she made during her tenure, which contributed to developing and strengthening relations between the two friendly countries in all fields.
Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, presented Her Excellency with the medal during the meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Her Excellency affirmed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen relations with the Republic of Malta in various fields.
Her Excellency expressed her wishes to the Ambassador for success in her work, praising her role in strengthening the distinguished relations between the UAE and the Republic of Malta.
For her part, Her Excellency Ambassador Maria Camilleri Calia expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” praising the level of progress witnessed in relations between the two countries, and thanked all parties for the cooperation she found that had a positive impact on the success of her mission in the country.
