Graduating 10 Emirati cadres from the “Sanad” program

The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and DP World Group celebrated the graduation of 10 Emirati cadres from the “Sanad” programme, which aims to develop the next generation of Emirati specialists in the security field, and prepare them to work within international operational, regulatory, maritime and security environments.

The graduating class included five employees from the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, and five employees from DB World. All participants successfully fulfilled the program requirements, achieving a completion rate of 100%, throughout the training and professional development journey that lasted 18 months.

Abdullah bin Damithan, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, said: “Preparing Emirati competencies to protect the country’s vital infrastructure represents a strategic priority, and the (Sanad) program embodies an important investment in developing specialized national capabilities that contribute to enhancing the flexibility, security and continuity of the ports, trade and logistics system in the UAE.”

He continued: “Today, we celebrate the achievements of these Emirati competencies, who demonstrated discipline, professionalism, and the ability to adapt throughout the program, and were able to successfully complete its intensive requirements.”

For his part, Issa Kazim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Ports World Group, said: “Our partnership in the (Sanad) program reflects the importance of integrating the efforts of national institutions, academic and security bodies to prepare Emirati cadres who possess a comprehensive understanding of the nature of work in ports, terminals and logistics services.”
