Sharjah, July 13 / WAM / The Sharjah Museums Authority has launched the activities of the “Happy Holiday Camp” summer program, which will continue until next August 20 in five of its museums, targeting children from the age group of 7 to 12 years.
The camp aims to develop participants’ knowledge of heritage, culture and science, and enhance their skills in creative thinking and teamwork through an interactive environment that combines learning and entertainment.
The camp began its first activities today for children (7 to 9 years old) at the Sharjah Maritime Museum through programs concerned with the Emirati maritime heritage, and at the Sharjah Aquarium with activities that enhance awareness of the environment of marine organisms.
The activities will continue later to include the Sharjah Science Museum from July 27 to August 6 with programs in applied sciences and robotics, and the Sharjah Archeology Museum from July 27 to August 8 to introduce children to ancient civilizations.
The camp activities will conclude at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization during the period from August 10 to 20, with workshops targeting the 10 to 12 year old group in the fields of Arabic calligraphy and artistic design.
These activities come as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to provide summer programs that enrich children’s knowledge and develop their skills through exploration and experimentation.
