The Golf Federation adopts a promising strategy to prepare national generations to compete globally

Member of the Board of Directors of the Golf Federation and Chairman of the Media and Marketing Committee, Salem Bin Dasmal, confirmed that the Federation has adopted a new strategy that focuses on preparing a new generation of national players capable of representing the UAE in continental and international forums, thus enhancing the country’s position as a global center for the sport of golf.

Bin Dasmal said in press statements, “The federation, headed by Major General Pilot (M) Abdullah Al-Sayyed Al-Hashimi, is proceeding according to an ambitious long-term strategy aimed at building an integrated system for developing the game, starting with its dissemination in schools, passing through academies and training centers, all the way to preparing champions capable of competing in the largest regional and international tournaments.”

He explained: “The strategy focuses on spreading the sport of golf in both public and private schools in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, in addition to supporting golf academies in clubs, with a focus on age groups as they are the real investment in the future of the game.”

He added: “The Federation adopts the philosophy of (the player’s professional path), which accompanies the player’s journey from the time he was introduced to the game within the family, through school, academies and training centers, and then moving on to participate in local tournaments, and ending with representing national teams in international competitions and professionalism, supported by specialized training programs, modern equipment, and qualified technical personnel in accordance with the best international practices.”

Bin Dasmal stressed that the federation’s strategy relies on the “Future Falcons” program, which represents one of the most prominent projects to discover and refine national talents at an early age, while the emerging players’ development program constitutes an extension of these efforts by providing an integrated training and competitive environment that contributes to the emergence of male and female players capable of representing Emirati golf in a way that ensures the achievement of distinguished results at the local and international levels.
