"Trends" He launches a new book and signs a distribution agreement during "Hong Kong Book Fair"


HONG KONG, 17 JULY / WAM / On the second day of the Hong Kong International Book Fair 2026, the Trends Pavilion for Research and Consulting witnessed a remarkable turnout of visitors, researchers, and officials, amid growing interest in its research and intellectual publications, fruitful knowledge discussions, and meetings that strengthened international partnerships and opened new horizons for cooperation in the fields of scientific research, publishing, and knowledge industry.
In the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Saud Ali Mohammed Ali Al Mualla, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Drew Lai, Commissioner for Cultural and Creative Industries in the Hong Kong Government, Trends Research and Consultancy launched his new book, “Labor Markets in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” which addresses the rapid transformations witnessed in the labor market in light of the developments of artificial intelligence, and reviews the most prominent opportunities and challenges posed by the digital revolution, in addition to anticipating the future of jobs and skills required in the digital economy.
The pavilion, led by Rawda Al Marzouqi, Head of the Distribution and Exhibitions Sector, and the sector team, and with the participation of Warda Al Menhali, Head of the Corporate Communications Sector at Trends, witnessed prominent official and cultural visits, where it received Drew Lay, who was briefed on the latest releases of “Trends” and its research and knowledge initiatives.
The “Trends” pavilion also served as a meeting station for an elite group of icons of the Emirati cultural scene, as it received His Excellency Rashid Al-Kous, Executive Director of the Emirates Publishers Association, and His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, President of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, who were briefed on the latest publications and research initiatives, in a visit that reflected the integration of national efforts in supporting knowledge and enhancing the Emirati cultural presence in international forums.
Within the framework of expanding the international cooperation network, the pavilion received a high-level delegation that included an elite group of international officials and experts in the field of copyright and intellectual rights management. The delegation was briefed on the most prominent publications and research projects, and discussed with Trends officials opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experiences, in a way that supports the dissemination of knowledge and enhances international partnerships in the publishing and scientific research sectors.
Dr. Wong Yen-Yu Sharon, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Copyright Licensing Society (HKRRLS), also visited the pavilion, where she was briefed on the most prominent publications and research initiatives, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of publishing, intellectual property, rights management, and knowledge exchange.
On the sidelines of the participation, Trends, represented by the distribution and exhibitions sector, signed a distribution agreement with the Chinese company CPS, in a strategic step aimed at expanding the spread of intellectual and research publications in the Chinese and Asian markets, and delivering them to a wider segment of readers and researchers, thus enhancing Trends’ mission to spread knowledge and consolidate its global presence.
This participation, which takes place through the virtual office of “Trends” in China, comes as part of the center’s first presence at the Hong Kong International Book Fair, through a knowledge pavilion that includes about 500 scientific and research publications covering various specializations, which embodies the vision of “Trends” in producing knowledge, promoting dialogue between cultures, and building sustainable research and knowledge partnerships at the international level.
Throughout the second day, the “Trends” pavilion witnessed a wide interaction of visitors and those interested, who viewed scientific publications and knowledge initiatives, and participated in dialogues and discussions that reflected the growing position of “Trends” as a global research platform that contributes to anticipating the future, supporting the knowledge industry, and enhancing international cooperation in the fields of thought and scientific research.
