"Al Dhaid Dates Festival" It starts tomorrow at Expo Al Dhaid

Sharjah, July 22nd, WAM / The activities of the tenth session of the “Al Dhaid Dates Festival”, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will begin tomorrow at the Expo Center Al Dhaid. Its activities will continue until July 26th, with the wide participation of major palm growers and date producers from various emirates of the country, and a number of government agencies, companies specialized in the agricultural sector, and productive families, in an exceptional edition that coincides with the tenth anniversary of the launch of one of the most prominent agricultural and heritage events on the Chamber’s annual agenda.
The agenda of the tenth session is full of an expanded package of competitions for which valuable prizes are allocated to the winners in main categories with the aim of encouraging farmers to excel. The first competitions begin tomorrow with the Khunaizi Dates Dressing and the Local Lemons Dressing Competitions. The program continues on July 24 with the Khalas Dates Dressing and Red Figs Dressing Competitions, while July 25 will witness the Shishi Dates Dressing competition in addition to the Modern Kharayef Dates Competition. The festival concludes on July 26 with the announcement of the winners of the “General Dhaid Elite” and “Northern Emirates Special Dhaid Elite” competitions, in addition to the sheep seasoning competition for children.
The festival will witness a series of cultural and heritage events and activities, in addition to guidance workshops on modern farming methods and palm tree care, during which experts and specialists in the agricultural sector will present a summary of their knowledge in a way that encourages innovation in agricultural practices and promotes the adoption of modern technologies to raise the efficiency of local production and improve its quality. The festival is expected to attract visits from dignitaries and official delegations who will be informed of the extent of development in the local agricultural sector.
