Renewal of the first commercial license at the state level using agent artificial intelligence technology in Ajman

The Ajman Government, represented by the Ajman Digital Department, announced the completion of the first government transaction to renew a commercial license at the state level using Agent Artificial Intelligence (Agentic AI) technology, and works with a system of proactive services without an interface.
His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, said: “This achievement reflects the commitment of the Ajman government to translating the vision of our wise leadership into practical services that touch people’s lives and support the business community. For us, artificial intelligence is not a goal in itself, but rather a means to accelerate services, raise the quality of life, and build a more proactive and future-ready government, with the human being at the heart of every decision and every experience.”
His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman added: “Launching the first proactive government service without an interface using artificial agent intelligence represents a practical step within the Ajman Artificial Intelligence Program, and a direct translation of the principle of people first. In Ajman, we build artificial intelligence models that serve society, improve decisions, improve the customer experience, and integrate with the efforts of government agencies within a clear framework of governance, trust, accountability, and data protection.”
The Ajman Digital Department launches this system to provide support, empowerment, and the necessary digital infrastructure for it, as a new model for government services that does not wait for the customer to search for it, but rather identifies his need, prepares the service journey, requests approval, and then coordinates the required steps with the relevant government agencies with the least possible effort from the customer.
The first stage focuses on the commercial license renewal service, affiliated with the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, as the entity concerned with economic licensing services. Through this form, the customer is automatically notified before the expiration of the commercial license, and then transferred directly via the link to the assistant agent in the unified application of the Ajman Government, AjmanOne, to complete the renewal journey with ease.
The service integrates with the Municipality and Planning Department to manage cases in which the renewal of the commercial license is linked to the validity of the commercial lease contract. If the contract requires renewal, the customer is smoothly directed to the step required to renew the commercial contract, and then the service continues the journey of renewing the commercial license without the customer having to move between entities or search for the next step.
Thus, the customer does not need to understand the full details of government procedures or follow up with more than one party, as the service bears complexity in the background, with the customer remaining the decision maker in every major step.
This launch comes in line with the country’s national trend in employing Agentic AI to enhance future readiness, economic growth and human progress, and reflects Ajman’s commitment to transforming advanced technologies into practical services that improve people’s lives and enhance the business environment in the emirate.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Head of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, said: “The renewal of the commercial license using artificial intelligence agent represents an important step in supporting the business environment in Ajman. The easier, faster and clearer the investor’s journey is, the greater the emirate’s ability to enhance its competitiveness and economic attractiveness, and this integration reflects our commitment to developing more proactive, effective and responsive economic services to the needs of the business sector.”
For his part, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, stressed: “This new model of government services reflects an advanced level of integration between government agencies, by integrating the commercial lease renewal service – when needed – into the commercial license renewal journey using artificial intelligence agent.”
He added: “We are working with our partners in the Ajman government to simplify the investor’s journey, so that government services are integrated seamlessly without the customer bearing the burden of moving between entities or following up on procedures, which enhances business continuity, improves the experience of investors and business owners, and makes it easier and more efficient.”
Sheikh Rashid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Digital Department, said: “The Ajman Digital Department is leading efforts to build the digital infrastructure and joint platforms that enable government agencies to provide more efficient and effective proactive services. This launch embodies a new model for government services, based on artificial intelligence and digital integration to provide services that reach the customer at the right time. Our goal is to move from services in which the customer waits until he searches for them, to services that take the initiative, understand his need, and coordinate procedures in the background, to provide an excellent experience.” Government is easier, smoother and more efficient.
The Ajman Digital Department confirmed that the interface-less services model embodies a shift in the method of designing and delivering government services, by building government services that are operable across various current and future digital channels, ensuring a unified experience for the customer, and accelerating the development and launch of services without the need to rebuild them for each channel.
The department added that the success of government services based on agent artificial intelligence is not based on technology alone, but rather on an integrated system that includes effective governance, data quality, secure integration between systems, continuous monitoring, and human supervision when needed, ensuring the provision of reliable and secure services centered around the customer’s needs.
This launch represents an important milestone in the digital transformation process in Ajman, and supports the Ajman 2030 vision, “Ajman for the People,” by building a government model that is more proactive, flexible, and responsive to the actual needs of citizens, residents, investors, and the business sector.
