Construction work on the Al Thumama Road Bridge at the Olaya Road intersection continues, as part of the Al-Thumama Road (the central part), after the completion rate exceeded 50%, as part of the efforts of the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh aimed at raising the efficiency of the road network and enhancing the flow of traffic on one of the most important vital axes in the capital.

The project includes the implementation of concrete foundations and pillars, and the installation of the structural structure of the bridge, to allow continuity of movement on Al-Thumama Road, which contributes to raising the efficiency of the axis, enhancing the flow of traffic, and raising the level of service.

Raising the capacity of the axis

The bridge includes three main lanes in each direction, which contributes to raising the capacity of the axis to about 200,000 vehicles per day.

The project comes within the program to develop the axes of the ring and main roads in the city of Riyadh, which was launched by the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh, and includes the implementation and development of more than 500 kilometers of the road network in the capital, which contributes to building an integrated urban transportation system. Sustainable, keeps pace with the rapid growth of the city, and enhances the quality of life.
