The conclusion of the 2026 summer program at the Umm Al Quwain Cultural Center under the slogan: "Proud of the Emirates"

Umm Al Quwain, 27 July / WAM / Today, the Umm Al Quwain Cultural Center concluded the activities of the 2026 Summer Program, which was organized in cooperation with Sandooq Al Watan under the slogan “Proud of the Emirates”, after a series of programs, workshops, and cultural, heritage and creative activities that targeted children and adolescents, and contributed to developing their skills, consolidating national identity, and investing summer vacation time in an educational and interactive environment.

The closing ceremony began by reviewing the objectives of the summer program and its vision in preparing a generation proud of its national identity, and developing its creative and cognitive capabilities through qualitative programs that combine education and entertainment, in line with the Ministry of Culture’s directions in promoting cultural awareness and consolidating Emirati values among young people.

The ceremony’s activities included the showing of a visual film that documented the most prominent programmes, workshops and activities implemented by the Umm Al Quwain Cultural Center during the summer programme, reviewing the participants’ milestones and achievements, and the knowledge and skills they acquired in various cultural, artistic and heritage fields.

The segments also included the presentation of the operetta “Proud of the Emirates,” written and directed by the artist Jassim Ismail Tahnoun, with the participation of children and adolescents affiliated with the summer program. The operetta embodied the values of belonging and loyalty to the homeland, and pride in national identity, in an artistic painting that reflected the talents of the participants and the development they achieved during the program period.

The participants also presented the Emirati “Al-Ayyala” performance, under the supervision and training of Sultan Hallis, a member of the Umm Al Quwain Folklore Arts Society, in embodying the Emirati folklore and consolidating the importance of preserving traditional arts and introducing the younger generations to them.

The ceremony concluded by honoring the partners and cooperating entities that contributed to the success of the summer program, in appreciation of their role in supporting and implementing its programs and activities, which reflects the importance of institutional partnership in providing quality cultural initiatives that serve the community and contribute to developing the capabilities of children and adolescents.
