The mixed air exercise “Tuwaiq 4” maneuvers were launched at Prince Sultan Air Base in the central sector, today, Monday.
The forces of a number of sisterly and friendly countries participate in it, in the presence of the commanders of the units participating in the exercise.

In addition to the Royal Saudi Air Force, the forces of eight countries are actively participating in the exercise from the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Morocco, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and the Republic of Greece.
The Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt participate as observers in the exercise, which will last for two weeks.

The exercise director, Colonel Pilot Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Khanfour, confirmed that the mixed air exercise “Tuwaiq 4” aims to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in the field of tactical projection.

Raising the level of readiness of air crews

In addition to raising the level of readiness and combat efficiency of air, technical and support crews, and qualifying them to carry out the tasks assigned to them in a mixed environment in the field of tactical projection and landing.
He stated that the exercise will witness the participating units carrying out joint operations and tactical air drops from high and low altitudes, with the support of combat air operations, and carrying out search and rescue operations.

Tactical projection techniques

This is in addition to holding lectures, covering the most prominent techniques in the field of tactical airdrops, planning stages, management, leadership and evaluation of tactical airdrop operations.
All air forces participating in the exercise arrived earlier this week at Prince Sultan Air Base in the central sector, with all their air, technical and administrative crews, to begin the exercise maneuvers.
