Prime Minister of Canada for"Trump": Americans will suffer if tariffs are imposed

Dominique LeBlanc, Canadian Minister of Public Safety, said that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told US President-elect Donald Trump that Americans would also suffer if he went through with his plan to impose sweeping tariffs on Canadian products.
Trump threatened to impose Tariffs on products coming from Canada and Mexico, if the two countries do not stop what he described as the flow of drugs and migrants across their borders with the United States.
He announced on social media, last week, that he would impose duties of 25% on all products entering the United States from Canada and Mexico as one of his first executive decisions.
Dominique LeBlanc, Canada’s Minister of Public Safety, whose responsibilities include border security, attended a dinner between Trump and Trudeau at Trump’s resort " “Mara y Lago”, last Friday.
Trudeau requested this meeting in an attempt to avoid tariffs, seeking to convince Trump that the northern border is not the same as the southern border of the United States with Mexico.
