Dubai Police announced the details of an advanced academic project for the Police Academy. Engineer Faisal Al Tamimi, Director of Assets and Facilities Management at Dubai Police, said that the major development project that the Dubai Police General Command is implementing is the construction of a new building for the Dubai Police Academy in the first Al Ruwayyah area on an area 155 hectares. The project is expected to be completed in 2027 to become a global academic edifice that keeps pace with modern developments and enhances Dubai Police’s distinguished position in the field of police training..

Al Tamimi explained that the project is considered a compensatory initiative by Dubai Holding for the current land that houses the academy in the Al Sufouh area, and includes four main areas, which include a residential area that accommodates 1,200 male and female students, both candidates and newcomers, in addition to service facilities such as restaurants and social clubs that accommodate 1,367 people. And other living facilities.

He pointed out that the academic area includes college buildings, advanced educational and administrative facilities, and offices of the academic and administrative staff, in addition to the general training administration. The project also includes a health center and a theater with a capacity of 1,000 people, which enhances the education and training experience for police personnel..

He pointed out that the project includes an integrated sports area containing 17 sports facilities, including a closed gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and an Olympic football field. The sports area also includes padel, tennis and volleyball courts, in addition to a residential hotel for sports teams consisting of 26 rooms. As for the fourth area, it is the main field of the academy, which accommodates 2,500 people, with a training city for police operations, parking for 1,444 vehicles, and a bicycle path. The run is 3.3 km long.

He stressed that the project aims to increase the academy’s capacity, as the number of students is expected to rise from the current 780 students to 2,500 students. The project also includes a 3.5 km running track and a 3.5 km bicycle track, in addition to closed and open training facilities designated for police operations..
