The Defense Minister also made a public apology for his role in this crisis, and President Yoon unexpectedly declared martial law last Tuesday night, but later canceled the decision only hours later due to massive political opposition.
The opposition signed a proposal to begin procedures to remove the Minister of Defense, and the proposal is scheduled to be presented to the National Assembly tomorrow, Thursday, and it will be voted on either the day after tomorrow, Friday, or Saturday.
The largest opposition party had previously accused the conservative head of state of violating the constitution and called on him to resign immediately.
