December 14: The film “Beirut Pavement” was screened at Zawya Cinema

Zawya Cinema in Cairo presents a special screening of the film “Beirut Pavement” Directed by Farah Al-Hachem on December 14th at 7 pm.
The film, which witnessed its world premiere at the Oran Film Festival, received great praise from the audience and critics, and is considered one of the The most prominent documentary works that shed light on the suffering of peoples in the face of massacres and conflicts.
The events of the film (80 minutes) revolve around a personal story from Farah to The late journalist Issam Abdullah, who was killed by an Israeli missile in October 2024. Through her letter to Issam, Farah documents the impact of his absence on Beirut, and links the city’s pain with the pain of Gaza, highlighting stories of resistance in light of regional violence and tragedies.
The film participated in several prominent festivals, including the Tehran International Film Festival for Documentary Films (Cinema of Truth), and was shown at the Contemporary Art Platform in Kuwait, and Dar Al-Nimr Arts Center in Beirut, making it a humanitarian document about the steadfastness of peoples.
In this context, Farah Al-Hashem stated: “This film is not just a tribute to Issam Abdullah, but rather it is a voice For the oppressed and a testimony to the steadfastness of peoples. “My message in the film reflects collective pain and offers hope in resisting injustice.”
