10 people were killed and 20 injured in Russian bombing of Zaporizhia, Ukraine

Ten people were killed, and 20 were injured, including three children, in a Russian bombing of the city of Zaporizhya in southern Ukraine, according to a new toll from Ukrainian ambulance services.
The paramedics wrote on their Telegram account: “Zaporizhya. Ten people were killed, 20 injured, and a fire that broke out at a gas station and six cars were extinguished.”

Russia’s strikes on Ukraine

A previous toll reported by the governor of the Zaporizhya region, Ivan Fedorov, indicated nine dead and six wounded.
The governor explained that the bombing caused a fire to break out at a gas station, and that some neighboring neighborhoods are facing problems with electricity supply.

At the same time, at least two people were killed and 19 were injured in the city of Kryviev Ryg in central Ukraine, according to a tally by the authorities.
Oleksandr Vilkul, the city’s military administration official, posted: “So far there are two dead, two men (40 and 69 years old),” noting that among the injured was a sixth-year-old child.

Repercussions of the Russia-Ukraine war

He stated that the fate of another person is still unknown and a rescue operation is underway, while Zelensky said, “Thousands of similar strikes launched by Russia during this war clearly show that President Vladimir Putin does not need actual peace.”
Zelensky continued: “We will only be able to resist it through force. Only through force can real peace be established.”
This attack comes after weeks of escalation in the war that has been ongoing for nearly three years, with Moscow intensifying its attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities.
