Urgent parliamentary action against Mohamed Ramadan’s imitation of the late President Anwar Sadat

Representative Karim Talaat Sadat, a member of the House of Representatives, announced that he had submitted a briefing request to Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, addressed to the President of the Supreme Council for Media and the National Media Authority, regarding the artist Mohamed Ramadan’s sarcasm and mockery of the late President Mohamed Anwar Sadat by imitating him in his clip. Patriotism, love and loyalty to this country and to the late president, stressing the need to treat these symbols as antiquities and history, and to preserve them and their name from any violations or insults they may be exposed to.
He continued, saying: “National symbols are a symbol of the values and principles on which the nation was founded, and an integral part of the national identity, and protecting them means preserving this identity and transmitting it to future generations,” calling for the necessity of taking the necessary legal measures to deter such situations and prevent any attempts.
