The inauguration ceremony of the Student Union in Cairo… Building future leaders within schools
The Cairo Directorate of Education organized, today, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the Governorate’s Student Union for the preparatory and secondary levels at the Cairo level, on the stage of the Advanced Technical School for Maintenance Technology, affiliated with the East Nasr City Educational Administration.
The celebration was witnessed by Dr. Hemat Abu Bakila, Director of the Cairo Directorate of Education and the general pioneer of the Cairo School Students’ Union, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Raouf Allam, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Trustees and Parents. And teachers at the republic and Cairo levels, and Mr. Yasser Anas, Deputy Director of the Directorate and Major General of the Preparatory Stage, in addition to the Deputy Directors of the Directorate, Mr. Ahmed Shaaban and Dr. Wafaa Reda, and a number of executive and school leaders.
In her speech, Dr. Himmat Bukele stressed that the inauguration of the Student Union is not just a formality, but rather represents a national event that contributes to the preparation of future leaders, and reflects the educational role of the school in consolidating the values of belonging and responsibility. And participation.
She explained that working in the Student Union is an assignment before it is an honor, and is based on discipline, respect for other opinions, defending the rights of colleagues, and serving the school and the nation, noting that the state is betting on the awareness of young people, and that the directorate trusts its students and considers them true partners in developing the educational process.
She also praised the efforts of the former Student Union and its distinguished activities during the last academic year, praising the great success in organizing the student elections, which came out in a civilized manner that reflects the awareness of the students. And the maturity of the democratic experience within schools.
The ceremony included patriotic and artistic performances that included the republican anthem, the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, a column of flags, and a presentation of the achievements of social education, in addition to singing performances presented by the Cairo Education Choir led by Ms. Nevin Takla, General Director of Music Education.
At the end of the celebration, Dr. Wafa Reda, Undersecretary of the Directorate, performed the installation ceremony of Dr. Hemat Bukele as general major for the secondary stage, while Professor Yasser was inaugurated. Anas was a general major for the preparatory stage, in the presence of all Cairo education leaders, followed by the performance of the youth oath and memorial shots for the students.
