The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, met with a group of male and female citizens working for the Majid Al Futtaim Group, during a recent visit to the company, accompanied by officials from the Ministry at a ceremony held by the group on the occasion of its achievement of a prominent achievement in the field of Emiratisation. .
The meeting was witnessed by the CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, Ahmed Jalal Ismail, and the shareholder and shareholder representative of the company, Maryam Majid Al Futtaim.
Al-Awar said that the private sector is proving day after day its commitment to Emiratisation policies and its unprecedented fulfillment of its responsibilities in this important national file, within the framework of the partnership with the government in employing and training citizens, whose number in various economic sectors has reached more than 120,000 male and female citizens working for more than 23,000 companies are witnessing success stories written by national competencies that perform their job duties efficiently and competently.
He pointed out during the meeting that the reality of Emiratisation at Majid Al Futtaim Group reflects the depth of the group’s social responsibility, praising the group’s commitment to supporting government policies to enhance citizens’ competitiveness and contribution to the labor market.
He praised the efforts and excellence of the Emirati competencies working in the group, stressing that the wise leadership is closely following the Emiratization file in the private sector and constantly directs the need to empower and support citizens, in a way that contributes to their stability in their jobs in light of the support provided by the “Nafis” program, in addition to providing an attractive work environment. It stimulates creativity, especially through the package of privileges obtained by companies that interact with Emiratisation policies in the private sector.
For his part, the CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, Ahmed Jalal Ismail, affirmed the group’s keenness to contribute to achieving the vision of the wise leadership and completing the Emiratization process by developing and implementing strategic plans to provide more promising job opportunities for citizens.
He stressed the effectiveness of the partnership with the “Nafis” program, noting that the company’s Saudization rate reached 3% in 2021, currently reaching 13.7%.
