The National Center of Meteorology warned of fog of varying intensity over the eastern region, during its weather report on Friday.
The phenomenon begins at 1 a.m. and continues until 8 a.m. on Friday.

Light fog

Some places experience water mist (light fog), accompanied by a decrease in horizontal visibility (3-5) kilometers.
The places are: Jubail, Al-Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Al-Ahsa, and Abqaiq.

Medium fog

While Al-Udaydah is witnessing the spread of moderate fog, starting at 11 pm today, Thursday, and continuing until 8 am on Friday.
The associated effects include almost no horizontal visibility (1-3 km).

The weather analyst at the National Center of Meteorology, Aqeel Al-Aqeel, explained to Al-Youm that most regions of the Kingdom are witnessing stable weather as a result of the control of an air high that contributes to a state of stability. He added: The northern, eastern and central regions are witnessing cold weather during the weekend, with expectations that it will be affected. The northern regions of the Kingdom will experience a cold air mass from Sunday until the end of the week.
He pointed out that this leads to temperatures falling below zero degrees Celsius.
He continued: “It is also expected that the regions of Al-Sharqiya, Al-Qassim, and Riyadh will record low temperatures during the same period, as the weather will generally stabilize and remain cool.”

Weather condition details

This weather is accompanied by active winds that raise dust and dust on Sunday and Monday, especially in areas affected by low temperatures, with its impact extending to the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Medina, including the coastal parts, especially during daylight hours.
The official spokesman for the National Center of Meteorology, Hussein Al-Qahtani, explained: “A cold wave in the first quarter of winter will cause temperatures to drop to 3 degrees below zero starting next Sunday,” calling on everyone to follow the Center’s reports and follow the safety instructions issued by the National Center for Meteorology.
