With a magnitude of 4.6, an earthquake strikes the Sandwich Islands in the Atlantic Ocean
Today, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck the South Sandwich Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic Ocean.
The US Geological Survey stated that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred at a depth of 110.5 kilometers, and so far there have been no reports of material or human damage as a result of the earthquake.

On the other hand, an earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck the Pututano region in southern Indonesia today.
The US Geological Survey reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of ten kilometers, 57 kilometers northeast of Pututano, Indonesia.
