A source for Al-Ahly Club revealed the scenes behind the Football Committee officials’ contract with Al-Wakra Qatari player Hamdi Fathi during the 2025 Club World Cup period on loan.
The source explained to Rose Al-Youssef Gate that Hamdi Fathi’s deal was not completed. This is done with the knowledge of the technical director of the football team, Marcel Kohler. This comes after the club’s planning committee agreed to settle some deals during the coming period, even if there was a reservation on Kohler’s part.
The source indicated that the planning committee’s decision to contract with the player without the knowledge of the technical director came in anticipation. Kohler may leave at any time.
