The Kingdom and Egypt discuss developing cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, held a series of bilateral meetings in Cairo today with the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and the Egyptian Minister of Transport and Industry, Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir.
The meetings dealt with developing joint cooperation in the sectors, and attracting investments for promising opportunities in the Kingdom’s strategic industrial sectors.

Saudi-Egyptian relations

During the meeting, he stressed the importance of enhancing joint cooperation between the two sides. To activate the industrial integration paths agreed upon between the technical teams of the two countries.

He also reviewed the impact of leading the economic transformation in the Kingdom and stimulating the growth of all sectors, with the launch of several strategies to create added value in the Saudi industrial, mining and export sectors.

Al-Khorayef discussed with the Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade the strengthening of cooperation in the field of investment and building effective partnerships in the private sector on both sides. International Mining Conference

Al-Khorayef stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Egypt in the mining sector and mining industries, and to benefit from the great economic potential in the Kingdom and Egypt.
He called for participation in the fourth edition of the International Mining Conference, which will be held in Riyadh during January 2025.

Financing mechanism and guarantees

He discussed with Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, the financing mechanism and guarantees that financial institutions can provide in both countries. To enhance business transactions and provide solutions to investors.
These meetings come within the official visit of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to the Arab Republic of Egypt. To strengthen bilateral economic ties, develop joint cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors, and discuss mutual investment opportunities in promising strategic industrial sectors, especially food and medicine.

The meetings were attended by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, Eng. Khalil bin Salamah, and the CEO of the Saudi Export-Import Bank, Eng. Saad Al-Khalab.
The CEO of the Saudi Export Development Authority, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Thukair, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Saleh Al-Hussaini, also attended.
