Mohammed bin Zayed Camel and Camel Festival "The clothes" It launches next Wednesday

Umm Al Quwain, December 22nd / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Festival for purebred Arabian camel racing and the “Al-Libasa” camel competition 2024-2025 will be launched next Wednesday, which It is held for the fourteenth year in a row in various regions of the country.

The festival’s competitions, which continue until the thirtieth of December, include camel racing, camel grooming, milking, and heritage racing. The camel races include the categories of “Al-Haqa’iq, Al-Lakaya, Al-Idha’a, Al-Thanaya, Al-Hawl, and Al-Zamul,” in which the group’s camels compete in 184 races.

The organizing committee allocated prizes for the winners of the symbols races for the Haqiq, Al-Laqaya, Radio, and Thanaya races, where the winners receive a cup and one and a half million dirhams for the early races, and a cup and a million dirhams for the Al-Jaadan races, while the winners on the final day designated for the Hawl and Zumul races receive a sword and five million dirhams for the main Hawl race. In addition to a dagger and two million dirhams for the local round, while the organizing committee allocated a rifle and two and a half million dirhams. One million dirhams for the main open Zamoul round, along with “Shaddad” and one million dirhams for the local Zamoul round.
As for the prizes for the mahaleb competition, which is held over 4 rounds, the first-place winner in the “Orabi” local round gets a shield and 70,000 dirhams, in the “Khawawir” local round, a shield and 70,000 dirhams, and in the third round, which specializes in authentic muhjanat, the first place holder gets a shield. And 70 thousand dirhams, and in the fourth round for local tribesmen, the first place winner gets a shield and 70 thousand dirhams.
In the Al-Mazayen competitions, for which 24 rounds were allocated, the organizing committee allocated 50 thousand dirhams to the winners in the categories (Al-Mafarid, Al-Haqaqiq, Al-Laqaya, Al-Iza’a, Al-Thanaiya, Al-Hawl and Al-Zamul) for the Al-Sharaya rounds, open locales, Daraa, and 50,000 dirhams. The winners in the Al-Sharaya local rounds received 50,000 dirhams, while the rest of the winners received 50,000 dirhams. Valuable prizes will go to the tenth place holder.
In the heritage race, the organizing committee announced the allocation of 10 rounds, through which the first-place winners will receive 50,000 dirhams, as well as cash prizes for the rest of the places up to tenth place.
The people of the areas hosting the competitions will have special rounds in camel races, with the first 4 rounds in the morning of the festival allocated to them to provide them with opportunities to compete and challenge themselves to win the mosquitoes at the beginning of the start of the competitions.
