Manchester City wins over Arsenal and ignites the competition for the top spot in the English Premier League
London, April 19 / WAM / Manchester City clinched its summit against Arsenal by winning 2-1, during the match that was held today, at Etihad Stadium, in the matches of the 33rd week of the English Premier League.
Manchester City narrowed the gap between itself and leaders Arsenal to only 3 points in the battle for the title, after raising its score to 67 points in second place, while Arsenal’s score stopped at 70 points in the lead.
Rayan Sharqi took the lead for City in the 16th minute, Arsenal quickly equalized through Kai Havertz in the 18th minute, and City went ahead again in the 65th minute through Erling Haaland.
In other matches within the same round, Liverpool beat Everton 2-1, Aston Villa beat Sunderland 4-3, and Nottingham Forest beat Burnley 4-1.
