Expo Sharjah sets records by organizing 80 exhibitions and attracting 3 million visitors in 2024

Sharjah, December 22 / WAM / The Expo Center Sharjah continues its journey of achievements, consolidating the position of the Emirate of Sharjah as a leading regional and international destination for exhibitions and conferences and enhancing the contributions of the exhibition sector in supporting the diversification strategy and sustainable economic growth in Sharjah and the Emirates.
During 2024, Expo Sharjah, along with its affiliated centers in Khor Fakkan and Al Dhaid, witnessed the organization and hosting of 80 major exhibitions, characterized by wide international and regional participation from major companies and brands, in addition to its success in attracting about 3 million visitors from inside and outside the country.
The exhibitions hosted by the center included multiple sectors, including commercial, real estate, industrial and cultural sectors. The most prominent of these events is the Sharjah International Book Fair, which attracted 1.82 million visitors, the Middle East Watches and Jewelry Exhibition, which witnessed in its two editions the attendance of more than 150,000 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors, the Emirates Perfumes and Oud Exhibition, and the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition. “ACRES”, the steel and steel exhibition “Steel Fab”, and the international education exhibition, which attracted 25 thousand visitors and participated. It includes 125 universities, educational and academic institutions from more than 20 countries, in addition to hosting the “Ithra” exhibition for employment in the financial and banking sector, which witnessed the participation of more than 100 entities and institutions from the most prominent banks, financial authorities and institutions in the country, and many other qualitative events.
Expo Sharjah was keen to make pioneering efforts to enrich its annual agenda with innovative and qualitative events and exhibitions and to enhance international participation in the exhibitions it organizes by focusing on developing its strategic partnerships at the local and international levels and enhancing its presence in global events related to the exhibition sector, as the Center signed more than 10 cooperation agreements with A number of regional and international bodies specialized in organizing exhibitions, most notably the partnership agreement with MIA Events, with the aim of launching the Future Mobility Exhibition specializing in electric vehicles in 2025. Expo Sharjah, in addition to signing an agreement with the “Scenario International Education” company, which is based in Pakistan, to expand the scope of the participation of Pakistani educational institutions and universities in the next edition of the International Education Exhibition, in addition to signing a strategic partnership agreement with Magnati and P.Ro companies, which specialize in digital payment solutions and services, with the aim of Providing exhibitors and visitors with advanced payment services that enhance their participation in events and activities organized by the center.
The Center also received many official delegations from various countries of the world as part of its efforts to enhance joint cooperation in the exhibition sector with specialized agencies, diplomatic missions and official delegations. The Sharjah Expo Center received a delegation from the Italian exhibition organizing group Artex with the aim of discussing ways to enhance joint work between the two sides to attract More Italian exhibitors in the upcoming editions of the Middle East Watch and Jewelry Exhibition. On the sidelines of the Steel Fab 2024 exhibition, the center also held a meeting with Messi.
