The Ladder Cycling Championship begins on Sunday"Sword of honor"

Dubai, December 27 / WAM / The Supreme Organizing Committee of the ninth edition of the Ladder Cycling Championship, organized by the Private Office of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, announced that the first race designated for Emirati amateur riders, scheduled for the day after tomorrow, Sunday, will be named “Sword of Honour”.
This is the largest community racing tournament of its kind in the world in terms of diversity and financial prizes amounting to 3.5 million dirhams.
The name “Sword of Honour” was launched to celebrate the graduation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum from the Royal Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, and his obtaining the “Sword of Honor” for the international student category and first place in academic and applied military studies, becoming the first Emirati graduate to obtain these two awards. Both estimates together.
The ninth edition of the championship begins with the “Sword of Honor” race, which extends for a distance of 143 kilometers in the Saih Al Salam area in the Al Marmoum Nature Reserve, with a maximum number of participants of 250 competitors, covering the previous distance in the middle of the natural areas in Dubai.
The Supreme Organizing Committee, headed by His Excellency Omair bin Juma Al Falasi, Director General of the Private Office of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Championship, and the members of the Committee, completed all arrangements for the launch of the ninth edition, by securing the race route in cooperation with government agencies that are partners of the event, in addition to placing all Technical regulations and race arrangements to achieve the same successes achieved by the championship over the past eight editions.
His Excellency Omair Al Falasi invited the participating riders to present the strongest levels in line with the additional value that this race will carry at the sporting and societal levels, and enhance the status reached by the Al Salam Cycling Championship, which embodies generous support to motivate society to practice cycling, and adopt sport as a way of life.
This race will be the first in the ninth edition race series, followed by the men’s elite race on January 19, 2025, then the desert race on February 9, 2025, and the women’s race on February 16, 2025.
