المملكة: The first pioneers of Saudi relief bridges for the brotherly Syrian people are launched

Today, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center sent the first of the Saudi relief bridges provided to the brotherly Syrian people, from King Khalid International Airport, carrying food, shelter and medical supplies on board, heading to Damascus International Airport to contribute to alleviating the effects of the difficult conditions that the Syrian people are currently going through. .
The advisor to the Royal Court and the general supervisor of the center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, explained in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency that the air relief bridge that was launched today will be followed by another land bridge during the next few days – God willing – and will provide urgent relief to the Syrian brothers.

He stressed that this embodies the noble humanitarian sentiment that characterizes the wise leadership and its keenness to help brothers and friends around the world, in accordance with what is required by the upright approach that the Kingdom has followed since its inception, calling on God Almighty to preserve and grant success to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Trustworthy Crown Prince. Supporting Syria during the earthquake

These efforts come as confirmation of the role played by the Kingdom in extending a helping hand to brotherly and friendly countries during various crises, and as an extension of the continuous support provided by the Kingdom to the brothers in Syria, since the outbreak of the crisis in the year 2011 AD until now, where the Kingdom was represented by its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center. It was one of the first countries to stand with the Syrian people in their plight, by providing grants and relief and humanitarian aid to those displaced internally and in neighboring countries due to the armed conflict, as well as to Those affected by the devastating earthquake that affected some governorates in northern Syria in February 2023.
The total aid provided by the Kingdom to the Syrian people from 2011 to the end of 2024 amounted to 856 million and 891 thousand US dollars.
