A joint investigation by South Korea and America into the plane disaster

The South Korean-American joint investigation team investigating the Jeju Airlines plane disaster will begin examining the condition of the plane and its engine on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said during a press briefing early this morning that two additional American investigators have joined the team, bringing the number of American investigators to ten, according to South Korean broadcaster KBS World on Wednesday.

Expert team

The American team includes representatives from the National Transportation Safety Board, the Federal Aviation Administration and aircraft manufacturer Boeing and consists of experts from various fields.
Starting Wednesday, the joint team will conduct a visual examination of the wreckage, including marks on the plane, the engine, and a bird hitting it.
In addition, the Ministry of Transport revealed, as part of the investigation, that it is examining navigation safety facility materials including GPS devices, such as those that collided with the ill-fated Jeju passenger plane, at airports across the country.
