المملكة: Launching 26 free indicative models for municipal and housing services contracts

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing launched 26 indicative models for municipal and housing service contracts to guarantee the rights of contracting parties, with the aim of regulating the relationship between the service provider and the beneficiary, calling for the initiative to review these contracts to benefit from them.

Contract objectives

She explained that the objectives of model contracts are to preserve the rights and obligations of beneficiary service providers, increase the effect of preventive justice, reduce project faltering as a result of contractual disputes, and facilitate the contracting process to ensure work according to international best practices.
The contracts aim to reduce judicial disputes resulting from ambiguity in some contracts used between contracting parties, and to contribute to regulating the contractual relationship between parties in small and medium enterprises.

Most prominent models

The Ministry has identified the 6 most prominent models of contracts, which include the most prominent models of standard contracts, a contract for issuing a construction license through an engineering office, and a contract for supervising the issuance of a construction license through an engineering office.
It also includes a contract for issuing a commercial license through an engineering office, a contract for designing and installing a commercial sign with a specialized facility, a contract for supervising excavations with an engineering office, and a contract for issuing a group housing license for individuals.
The model contracts are free, professional, easy to use, and are carried out according to international standards.
