Signing an agreement to establish a research center for human brotherhood

Geneva, February 11 / WAM / The Higher Committee for Human Fraternity and the Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities signed a scientific cooperation agreement, on the sidelines of the event celebrating the International Day of Human Fraternity, which was hosted by the Palace of Nations yesterday in Geneva.
The signing of the agreement was witnessed by His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Khaled Al Ghaith, Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Human Fraternity, and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Rashid Al Hameli, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities.
The agreement aims to establish a research center for human brotherhood, which will contribute to enhancing cooperation and joint scientific research between the two parties, under which they will work to consolidate the principles and values of human brotherhood in the educational, research and societal fields, by developing specialized research and academic platforms to study issues of brotherhood, coexistence and peace, and organizing conferences, seminars and scientific and dialogue forums.
The agreement also includes issuing a scientific journal and specialized research periodicals, implementing training and empowerment programs for ambassadors of human brotherhood, in addition to supporting youth and cultural initiatives that embody the values of the Human Fraternity Document.
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Khaled Al-Ghaith stressed that the agreement represents a qualitative step in the path of transforming the principles of human brotherhood into sustainable scientific and research projects that contribute to the production of solid knowledge that supports dialogue and understanding between peoples, indicating that the committee attaches great importance to academic partnerships as a basic pillar for consolidating a culture of peace and coexistence in the long term.
He said that the establishment of the research center provides a global scientific platform for exchanging experiences and launching joint research initiatives that address contemporary issues related to human brotherhood, stressing the committee’s keenness to expand the scope of cooperation with educational and research institutions regionally and internationally.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Hameli said that the establishment of the research center reflects the commitment of Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities to support specialized studies in the fields of human brotherhood, peace and coexistence, and to develop scientific research related to common human values.
His Excellency explained that cooperation with the Supreme Committee for Human Fraternity is consistent with the university’s vision of preparing scientific and research cadres capable of contributing to promoting a culture of dialogue and openness, indicating that the center will be an effective platform for producing qualitative studies and academic programs that contribute to serving communities and building a future based on mutual understanding and respect.
