One person was killed when a car exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas
US authorities said that one person was killed and 7 others were injured on Wednesday, after a Tesla car caught fire and exploded outside President-elect Donald Trump’s hotel in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Police and Clark County Fire Department officials reported in a press conference that a person had died inside the car, and they were working to extricate the body.
Seven other people near the accident site sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The fire broke out in the parking garage
The fire broke out in the parking garage of the Trump International Hotel and was reported at 0840 a.m. local time, a county spokeswoman said in a statement.
“I know you have a lot of questions, and we don’t have a lot of answers,” Jeremy Schwartz, acting special agent in charge of the FBI’s Las Vegas office, said at the news conference.
Eric Trump, the son of President-elect Donald Trump and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, referred to the incident on the X platform and praised the fire department and local law enforcement for their quick response and professionalism.
The 64-story hotel is located directly off the famous Strip in Las Vegas, and across from the Fashion Show Las Vegas shopping center.
