The launch of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Show Jumping Cup competitions

Abu Dhabi, January 3 / WAM / The competitions for the 12th edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak International Academy Show Jumping Cup began yesterday, Thursday, and will continue until next Sunday.

At the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, with the participation of more than 300 male and female knights, competing for prizes amounting to 800 thousand dirhams.

The championship competitions will be held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and under the guidance and follow-up of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy. For women’s sports, president of the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and Al Ain Ladies Club.

The rider, Muhammad Ghanem Al-Hajri, on horseback, achieved first place on the opening day of the tournament, after he presented a perfect performance without errors, in a competition that witnessed the exclusion of 15 riders, and the withdrawal of two.

The competitions also witnessed the participation of 75 riders in the category of the two special rounds, “CSI2*”, and the rider, Muhammad Osama Al-Zubaibi, on horseback, was able to achieve first place with an outstanding performance without any error in the two rounds.
For his part, the professional Emirati rider, Omar Abdulaziz Al Marzouqi, won the one-round competition against the clock, on an obstacle course with a height of 140 cm at a speed of 350 meters per minute.
The two special rounds category, “CSIYH1,” also witnessed the participation of horses between the ages of 5 and 6 years, and the horse Selena 235 from the Emirates, “6 years old,” excelled after giving a strong performance after crossing barriers that reached a height of 110 – 115 cm without any errors.
In the special two-round category “CSICh-A”, the rider Khaled Ahmed Khalifa Al-Ayali Al-Muhairi was able to pass the 105-cm-high hurdles, after crossing the finish line in 25.88 seconds.

The two special rounds category “CSIJ-A” also witnessed a strong start for the rider Mabkhout Awaida Al-Karbi across the track, and thanks to his distinguished performance and ability to cross obstacles smoothly, he won first place.
