Urgent.. Hostages being held in a prison "Arles" In southern France
Five people were held hostage today, Friday, in the “Arles” prison, in the “Bouches-du-Rhône” department. In southern France, according to police and prison sources.
A prison source said that a prisoner carrying a white weapon was holding four nurses and a guard, adding that the man had a record of psychological crises.  ;
According to French media; “Arles” prison, located in the northern industrial area of the city, a few kilometers from the city center, is witnessing a hostage-taking operation. Police forces are present, and rapid intervention forces have headed to the prison.
The Minister of Justice, Gerald Darmanin, explained – on the “X” platform: – Five people are being held hostage: four health care workers and a prison guard, adding that all means have been mobilized and he is closely monitoring the developments of the situation.
