المملكة: 20 thousand riyals fine for transferring or publishing security surveillance camera recordings

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the provisions of the system for using security surveillance cameras prohibit the transfer or publication of security surveillance camera recordings.
However, it was excluded from the ban with the approval of the Ministry or the Presidency of State Security, or based on a judicial order, or at the request of the competent investigation authority.

The Ministry explained that anyone who violates this will be punished with a fine of (20,000) riyals, which includes anyone who transmits or publishes recordings in contravention of the provisions of the law.
Or by damaging or sabotaging security camera systems or recording devices, without prejudice to any more severe penalty stipulated by another law.
