Ecuador’s ongoing earthquakes

It is noteworthy that Ecuador, which is constantly exposed to earthquakes because it is located on the border of the Nazca plates, witnessed in April 2016 a 7.8-magnitude earthquake, which destroyed villages in the coastal provinces of Manabi and Esmeraldas, and resulted in the deaths of 673 people.
