"Abu Dhabi Tennis Mubadala" Announces the participation of Kazakh Rybakina
ABU DHABI, 8 JANUARY / WAM / The organizing committee of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open Women’s Tennis Championship, 500 points category, announced the return of Kazakh champion Elena Rybakina, holder of the last edition’s title, to defend her title in the third edition, which begins on the first of next February, and continues until the 8th of the same month in International Tennis Complex in Zayed Sports City.
The second half of last year witnessed a decline in the world’s sixth-ranked player’s participation due to injury, but she succeeded in returning and won three titles last season on the Women’s Tennis Association tour.
In addition to Rybakina, the tournament will witness the participation of last year’s runner-up, Daria Kasatkina, who is seeking revenge for her defeat in the final, and Swiss Belinda Bencic, champion of the 2023 edition, will return to the stadiums strongly after resuming her participation last October after a short hiatus.
