ABU DHABI, 10 JANUARY / WAM / The total production of Al Qoua Dairy Products Factory, affiliated with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, has reached 276,420 kilograms of labneh, since its opening in September 2023. In its operations, the factory relies on 1,386 liters of milk supplied from farms and estates in the Al Qoua region.
The factory is the first of its kind in the region and is entirely operated by people of determination at the Foundation’s Al-Qua Center, in line with the state’s directions and strategy in promoting social and economic integration of people of determination.
Al-Qua Factory is considered an innovative example in enabling people of determination to participate effectively in the labor market, by providing them with specialized professional opportunities that contribute to developing their skills in support of the national economy, in line with the national policy to empower people of determination, which aims to achieve full integration of this group in all aspects. life.
The laboratory currently employs six people of determination who have been fully trained in the skills necessary to work in this field, in an appropriate environment that enhances their interaction with society.
Sobha Al-Darai, Director of Al-Qu’a Care and Rehabilitation Center, said that the factory contributes to enhancing local entrepreneurship and supporting the national economy, by opening outlets to market local dairy products. It also stimulates farmers and farm owners in Al-Qu’a and its environs to supply milk, which enhances sustainable development.
She added that there are future expansion plans that include making cheese using camel milk, which is in line with the UAE’s vision to achieve sustainable development.
Al-Qua Dairy Products Factory is part of the “Made in the Emirates” system, which aims to enhance local production and support the industrial sector. It also contributes to diversifying the national economy while achieving sustainability and comprehensiveness in all fields.
