Public Security seized 42 firearms and executed about 58,000 judicial rulings within 24 hours
The Public Security Department of the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the security directorates, launched an extensive inspection campaign, which resulted in the seizure of 42 firearms, 233 drug cases, and the implementation of 57,909 various judicial rulings.
The campaign targeted – Which launched the implementation of the directives of Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior, over a 24-hour period – Confronting acts of bullying, arresting outlaws, and those possessing firearms and knives, and tightening security control.
The campaign’s efforts in controlling cases of firearms and knives resulted in the arrest of 42 defendants, in possession of 42 firearms, including an automatic rifle and two rifles. Cartridges, a drum, 38 locally made weapons, 69 different caliber bullets, and 168 pieces of bladed weapons.
The efforts also yielded results. Security in the field of judgment enforcement resulted in the implementation of 57,909 various judicial judgments, including 154 felony judgments, 18,184 partial imprisonment judgments, 3,502 appealed imprisonment judgments, 27,525 fine judgments, and 8,580 violation judgments.
In the field of controlling drug cases, the campaign resulted in the seizure of 233 drug cases, involving 249 defendants. They were seized with approximately 28 kilograms of banjo, 206 kilograms of hashish, 14 kilograms of heroin, 29 kilograms of hydro, 2 kilograms of Astrox, 3 kilograms of shabu, 7 kilograms of ice, and 1 One kilogram of powder, 200 grams of cocaine, and 150 Grams of opium, 4445 narcotic tablets, and 2 narcotic ampoules.
The campaign’s efforts in the field of arresting fugitive defendants also resulted in the arrest of 15 accused, in the field of arresting those who carried out acts of bullying, in the arrest of 15 accused, and in the field of seizing bicycles. Violating motorcycles: 334 violating motorcycles were seized, and in the field of traffic violations control, 25,578 were seized. Miscellaneous traffic violations, and in the field of driver testing, 50 motorists on highways were examined to detect their use of narcotic substances, and 7 of them were found positive.
