From 15 countries… 40 poets and writers at the Knights Poetry Forum

The Professional Literature Society launched the activities of the “Fourth Annual Forsan Poetry Forum”, hosted by the Farasan Islands Governorate, with the support of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, in the presence of the Governor of the Farasan Islands, Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Dhafri.
The association’s CEO, Abdullah Muftah, explained during the opening that the forum has become an annual cultural event that enhances the cultural movement in the Farasan Islands, and also enhances its tourism prosperity, especially since it possesses a cultural heritage, popular legacies, and distinguished heritage sites, noting the participation of more than 40 poets, writers, and intellectuals from inside and outside the Kingdom, representing 15. Arab country.

Knights of the Poetry Forum

He added that the three-day forum includes many poetry evenings performed by a number of male and female poets from the Kingdom and the Arab world, in addition to literary conversations and discussions.
The opening also included an exhibition of fine arts and another of handicrafts that distinguish the Farasan Islands, in addition to the participation of the Folklore Band.

The first day of the forum witnessed the participation of 14 poets, writing poems over three evenings, amid interaction and literary presence from the forum’s guests.
