The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo. We appreciate the choice of Oman as the guest of honor of the exhibition, and the relations are historical between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman.

Ambassador Abdullah Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman and its representative to the League of Arab States, confirmed that the selection of the Sultanate of Oman as a guest of honor in this fifty-sixth session of the exhibition, in recognition of its distinguished cultural role, and in recognition of its contributions to Arab and international culture, as well as the depth of the historical relations extending between the Sultanate of Oman  And Egypt, pointing out in his speech on the occasion of choosing the Sultanate of Oman as the guest of honor at the opera festival, that these relations are not merely historical ties, but rather extend in our present to include various areas of political, commercial and cultural cooperation, and are based on a firm conviction of a common destiny and a unified vision for the service of mankind, nations, and peace for humanity.< /p>

He said that culture is the ambassador of light in all ages, and the book is the pillar that transferred science and knowledge from one generation to another, and from one civilization to another. Perhaps the truest thing said in the book and its cultural role is the saying of God Almighty: “By the pen and what they write.”

He added that in this great Arab cultural wedding, our participation as a guest of honor begins with a firm determination to contribute to enhancing the Arab cultural wealth, by presenting a comprehensive picture of Omani cultural creativity. Omani culture, with its ancient history extending over thousands of years, still needs more bridges that connect it to its counterparts in the Arab world, so that its image appears closer to its reality: ancient, rich, and distinguished.

He confirmed that  Omani intellectuals are making confident progress towards creativity in various fields, and many of them have won prestigious awards at the Arab and international levels. In this distinguished exhibition, Omani icons include poets, novelists, researchers, academics and creative people, representing various generations and cultural fields. This participation represents a painting that expresses the Omani cultural diversity, which reflects the richness of traditions and the authenticity of history spanning five thousand years.

There is no doubt that Omani national costumes, with the beauty of their colors and the specificity of their designs, reflect a unique Omani personality, and constitute a reflective mirror of the nobility and richness of Omani culture.

In addition to fashion, other vocabulary stands out that constitutes a pillar of the Omani cultural dimension, such as traditional arts such as the art of Al-Razha and Al-Azi, and Omani literature represented by poetry and prose, which has always been a witness to the depth and sophistication of Omani thought. Handicrafts, such as the manufacture of daggers, ships, and wooden boats, also constitute a symbol of creativity that combines originality and innovation.

We cannot ignore Omani cuisine and the traditional dishes it offers that reflect the Omani person’s connection to his environment and heritage. This is in addition to the traditional Omani architecture, which is evident in ancient castles, forts and mosques, which represent a living witness to the long history and rich civilization of Oman.

Together, these vocabulary forms a comprehensive cultural painting, expressing an authentic Omani identity that is still vibrant with life and creativity.

The Omani ambassador appreciated the choice of the Sultanate of Oman to be the guest of honor for this famous cultural wedding. I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to those responsible for this honor. We hope that, after this participation, the image of Oman will be clearer and more present in the Arab cultural scene, and that Omani culture will continue its distinguished contributions from this dear land, pioneering Egypt, which provided the Arabs with an incomparable culture.
