Iranian air defenses were able to intercept a missile simulating a bomb penetrating bunkers using a home-made missile system, during a military maneuver near a nuclear site in central Iran.

 

 

The air defense forces of the Iranian Army and the Revolutionary Guard began on  Last Tuesday, joint maneuvers.

During the first phase of the maneuver, air defense units implemented plans to protect the Natanz nuclear site in Isfahan province in central Iran.

The air defense force of the Revolutionary Guards Air Division was used The Iranian forces used point defense tactics to protect the Natanz nuclear site, and engaged 30 air targets during the entire maneuvers.

The maneuvers also included the use of short-range air defense systems, such as “Dezful” systems And “Tor-M1”, which was able to destroy drones and low-altitude cruise missiles.

Later, Iranian forces activated the “9 Day” air defense missile system. ; To practice intercepting a bunker-busting bomb dropped by a fighter plane.

The local air defense system was able to track, intercept and destroy the bunker-busting bomb in less than 15 seconds at a distance of 17 kilometers from the nuclear site.

Also, The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force has activated several other air defense systems for training against electronic warfare.
