Launching “HCT-Sat 1” this month in partnership between “Colleges of Technology” and “Mohammed Bin Rashid Space”

The Higher Colleges of Technology, in partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, is preparing to launch the “HCT-Sat1” satellite during the month of January.
It is the first project of its kind at the college level in the field of space exploration, as 34 male and female students from various specializations worked on the project, which took approximately more than a year under the supervision of specialists and experts from the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre.
The students developed the satellite in all its stages, so that this achievement represents a distinguished model of partnership aimed at empowering national competencies with modern science and future technology.

Dr. Al-Ayyan pointed out that 34 male and female students from various engineering specializations participated in the project, including aviation sciences, aircraft structure design, and electrical engineering, as well as students from the media specialization working on the marketing aspect of the project, in addition to 9 faculty members, all of whom worked with the Mohammed bin Rashid Center team. To complete all stages of the project, which include designing the satellite, assembling its parts, and testing it up to the stage of launching it and placing it in orbit.
