Riyadh hosts a concert by international jazz legend Herbie Hancock

The Music Commission, in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States of America in Riyadh, and the Herbie Hancock Jazz Institute at the University of California, will organize a concert performed by international jazz legend Herbie Hancock on Tuesday, January 14, at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh.
The Music Authority will also host it in a dialogue session and workshop on Wednesday, January 15; This is to enhance cultural exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, and to emphasize the ability of music to enhance cultural dialogue and build bridges of communication between peoples.

International jazz legend Herbie Hancock concert in Riyadh

This concert comes as an extension of a journey of artistic creativity presented by the artist Hancock over more than six decades, as he redefined jazz music through his cooperation with the legendary Miles Davis band and through his albums that formed a milestone in the history of music.
The ceremony includes the participation of international star Janis Siegel, the voice that has inspired millions around the world and the winner of 10 Grammy Awards, who worked as a founding member of the band “The Manhattan Transfer.”

The concert will feature the Herbie Hancock Jazz Conservatory Band, which includes six of the brightest young musical talents from around the world, carefully selected for the fully-funded master’s program at the University of California.
During this career, Herbie won 14 Grammy Awards and an Oscar.
