I will leave Trump with an America stronger than it was 4 years ago

US President Joe Biden said that his management of US foreign policy has made the United States safer and more economically secure, and that President-elect Donald Trump will inherit a nation that is seen as stronger and more reliable than it was 4 years ago.
Biden on Monday praised his administration’s work to expand NATO, mobilize allies to provide Ukraine with military aid to fight Russia, and boost U.S. chip manufacturing to better compete with China.
This came during a wide-ranging speech in which he addressed his foreign policy legacy a week before he left the White House to be replaced by Trump.

Biden’s accomplishments

In his speech, Biden centered his view of his accomplishments, at least in the near term, with the messy counterfactual that has seen American voters turn once again to Trump and his protectionist worldview.

Biden will leave office at a turbulent moment for the world, as a series of conflicts continue.
Biden said in a speech at the State Department: “Thanks to our administration, the United States is winning in global competition compared to the situation 4 years ago. America is stronger, our alliances are stronger, and our opponents and competitors are weaker. We did not go to war to achieve these things.”
