"Basketball Federation" Announcing the formation of the Dubai International Championship committees
Dubai, January 16 / WAM / The Emirates Basketball Federation announced the formation of committees for the 34th edition of the Dubai International Basketball Championship, which will be held during the period from January 24 to February 2, in the Al Nasr Club hall in Dubai.
This came during the Federation’s Board of Directors meeting yesterday, “Wednesday,” chaired by Major General Ismail Al Gergawi, and in the presence of Board of Directors members, committee heads, technical directors of the Federation and the national teams, and the Federation’s Executive Director.
Major General Ismail Al Gergawi stressed that the Dubai Sports Council is the influential and important strategic partner in the process of the Dubai International Basketball Championship throughout its long history, noting that the thirty-fourth edition receives special attention that reflects its distinction and uniqueness.
The President of the Federation thanked the strategic partners contributing to organizing the new edition, which will be held in the Rashid bin Hamdan Hall at Al Nasr Club.
The tournament committees were formed as follows: Major General Ismail Al Gergawi as Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, Abdul Latif Al Fardan, Vice President of the Federation, as Vice Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, Mohammed Abdullah Al Hajj as Chairman of the Finance Committee, Salem Al Mutawa as Director of the Championship, Ali Al Amiri as Director of Operations, and Mansour Al Hashimi as Deputy Director of the Championship. Farid Al Qaiwani, Chairman of the Media Committee, Hamdan Saeed Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Technical Committee, Maitha bin Dhawi, Chairman of the Statistics Committee, and Mohammed Al Hammadi was appointed rapporteur of the tournament, and Abdullah Jassim was chairman of the Public Relations Committee.
