The high price of iron in Saudi Arabia… and the decrease in electrical wires and cables

Iron prices in Saudi Arabia increased last December, on a monthly basis, compared to November 2023, with one exception.
The price of electric cables decreased last December, on a monthly basis, while the price of wood increased.

Iron price

The price of rebar (6 mm) recorded 3981.09 riyals per ton, decreasing by 0.4% on a monthly basis.
The price of rebar (6 mm) increased by 0.7% to 2785.12 riyals, while the price of steel (10 mm) increased by 0.9% to 2832.34 riyals.
The price of rebar (12 mm) reached 2772.34 riyals, an increase of 2.1%, while the price of steel (14 mm) increased by 2.1% to 2772.37 riyals.
The price of rebar (16 mm) increased by 2.1% to 2771.41 riyals, while the price of rebar (18 mm) increased by 2.1% to 2771.34 riyals.
The price of Chinese iron cables decreased by 3.2% to 50.11 riyals.

Electrical wire price

The price of electrical wires for all categories decreased by rates ranging from 1.1% to 1.6%, while the price ranged between 1.21 riyals to 2.73 riyals.
The prices of electric cables decreased for all categories except for the stability of one category, while the decrease ranged between 0.1% to 1.1%, while prices ranged from 22.06 riyals to 541.78 riyals.

The price of aluminum decreased by 0.8% on a monthly basis to 87.75 riyals.

Timber price

The price of timber increased, as the price of Chilean wood recorded 1,532.31 riyals, increasing by 2.3% on a monthly basis.
The price of Romanian wood increased by 0.9% to 1483.94 riyals, while the price of African teak wood increased by 2.8% to 6208.7 riyals.

Increase in timber prices within a month (today)

The price of Indonesian plywood reached 3,163.18 riyals per cubic meter, rising by 0.4% on a monthly basis, last December.
The price of coal rose by 0.7% to 10.53 riyals per kilo last December.
